Finance Manager/Finance Controller Job Type - Full-time Location - Bangalore Job Description If you are an incredibly intelligent & a highly-motivated individual, excited to juggle between multiple work streams across numerous verticals and grow an agritech start-up based in India, we can’t wait to hear from you. Your role would require you to work closely with the Senior Management Team with respect to formulating business planning efforts of the Company and overseeing all aspects relating to accounting, direct and indirect taxation, financial operations and compliance related activities. ● Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Finance function and ensure the company’s finance function is structured to provide efficient support to the organization and all stakeholders ● Oversee the general accounting function, cash management, and tax compliance ● Coordinate with various stake-holders, tax consultants, vendors, bankers, and other stakeholders ● Monitor corporate law and other applicable regulatory and accounting compliance ● Responsible for statutory financial accounting, including liaison with auditors ● Management and control of accounts receivable and payable, treasury and payroll ● Responsible for all tax returns and tax planning matters ● Preparing and monitoring of fund flow statements. Develop and implement accounting policies, systems, and procedures that support company operations ● Responsible for budgeting and creating financial projections ● Track and report the company’s fund position on a regular basis, preparing cash flow statements and analyzing actual against budgets ● Responsible for GST compliance from reconciliation of GSTR with the books of accounts to preparation & filing of monthly & annual GST return ● Evaluate activities, legal policies, practices, and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations ● Liaising with existing and prospective investors on information requests and diligence matters ● Ensuring that the team meets deadlines & provides timely reports to the finance head Skills & Experience ● Qualification – Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification work experience in Accounting and Finance ● Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (Ind-AS), finance, taxation, banking and compliance related matters like GST, TDS, PF/PT, etc ● Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zoho Books, Tally ERP and SAP ● Proficient in Advanced MS Excel including use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs ● Strong analytical and problem-solving ability ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills ● Promote diversity and create a respectful work environment ● Ability to adapt to a dynamic and constantly growing environment.
