JOB SUMMARY
oBJECTIVE Reporting to the Finance Controller. The Finance Manager leads all day-to-day accounting operations, with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, payroll, Audit and Vendor Management. Responsibilities also include production of financial reports; proper maintenance of accounting records; accurate processing of financial transactions; and administration of a comprehensive set of controls and Cost analysis to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), adhere to grants management standards, and result in flawless audits Responsible for the financial health of a company. Producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Guiding team members in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Job Responsibilities: • Provide useful financial insights on cost to help make better decisions about formulating and executing strategy, and provide guidance and analysis to executive and operational management to improve results. • Maintain hygiene in accounting • Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including Cost analysis, balance sheet & variance analysis, and cash flow management. • Responsible for Accounts Payable process. • Maintain control of the following areas: P&L control, R 2 R- Record to Report, general ledger, accounts payable, expense reports, billing, Vendors and payroll. • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, Payroll, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, Reconciliations - Bank / Creditor / Debtors. • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. • Analysis of monthly general ledger account activity, journal entries, accruals, variances to forecast, and reconciliation of various accounts and various employee benefit accounting. • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors. • Assist in preparation of audit work papers for yearend audits with outside auditors. Senior Manager Accounts 2 DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently • Detail-oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude. • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment. • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities • Knowledge of SAP is must • Experience in Courier, Transportation, Freight , Warehousing industry a Plus Senior Manager Accounts
QUALIFICATION • Qualified Chartered Accountant • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas • Experience with financial reporting requirements
