Purpose of the position
The position holder needs to drive the controllership role across all financial processes and support business in the growth agenda through formulation of policies and guidelines based on the internal and external environment, this position will create the most optimum control environment to operate. By supporting business in short, medium and long term strategy formulation or evaluating investment decisions and providing a robust reporting framework this position will facilitate the growth agenda of the company.
Responsible for overall management of accounting and finance activates and for accurate reporting of financial data of the respective region
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the region
Validation of Onsite customer billing as applicable
Monthly closing of books of accounts and preparation of variance analysis and balance sheet schedules
Monitoring and analysing financial performance of the region and produce financial reports or statements to the regional business managers and planning team
Support business in business development through investment evaluation
Participation in special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
Assist in Maintenance of fixed assets register and project accounting
Support the internal and external audit process

Required key skills (functional/technical)
In depth understanding of Accounting Standards (National / International)
In depth knowledge of financial management and methods of investment evaluation
Understanding of commercial best practices including Taxation, etc
Understanding of reporting systems / platforms (SAP modules)
Planning , Organising, Time Management
Regularly interacts with subordinates and middle management
Chartered Accountant/ MBA in Finance
4 – 5 Years of post-qualification experience in Finance/accounting/treasury roles
