[ CJP Insights ] How Zerodha initiated this novel move to make employees healthier

Yesterday, on the occasion of World Health Day, Zerodha launched an interesting fun health program based on BMI
For the uninitiated, Body Mass Index is a value derived from the mass and height of a person. The BMI is body mass divided by the square of the body height, and is expressed in units of kg/m squared. If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, it falls within the normal or Healthy Weight range. If your BMI is 25.0 to 29.9, it falls within the overweight range. If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the obese range.
Employees with BMI <25 get half a month’s salary as bonus.
The average BMI of our team is 25.3 & if we can get to <24 by Aug, everyone gets another ½ month as a bonus 😄
The lowest average BMI or the largest change in average BMI wins.
(Challenging people at individual and team level)

The winner chooses a charity everyone else contributes to.
Isn’t this amazing ? We thought of sharing this novel initiative with you
